Korean seal (dojang) maker
Make a Korean seal image from a name or company name, right in your browser with nothing uploaded. Round, square and company seals, Hanja picker, PNG and SVG.
The PNG has a transparent background. Place it over the signature line in Word, Google Docs or a PDF editor.
Layout, weight and texture
This tool makes a seal image for electronic documents such as quotes and invoices. It does not replace a seal registered with a Korean community center or court registry, and cannot be used where a seal certificate is required. Under the Korean Electronic Signature Act it can count when both parties agree to it, but an image is easy to copy, so it proves little about who stamped it. There is no photo upload, so it cannot copy an existing seal.
A seal image for electronic documents
In Korea a name seal (dojang) often stands in for a signature. This tool draws one as an image you can place on quotes, invoices, contracts in progress and internal forms. The background is transparent, so the seal can sit on top of the signature line without hiding the text. It does not replace a registered seal (ingam), which is checked against the physical stamp and a seal certificate.
Shapes, layout and Hanja
Pick a round, square, oval or double-ring personal seal, a square company seal that carries the company name and the CEO mark, or a round seal with the company name set around the rim. Characters are stretched to fill their cells the way carved seals are, and the layout follows the character count: three characters stack in one column, four sit in a two-by-two grid, read from the right column first. Switch to Hanja to pick a character for each syllable of a Korean name, with its meaning shown. All six fonts are under the SIL Open Font License. The page downloads outline data only for the characters you use, and the SVG you save needs no font to open.
FAQ
Is my name sent to a server?
No. The seal is drawn inside this page. Only glyph outline data is downloaded, and the text you type never leaves your device.
Can this replace a registered Korean seal (ingam)?
No. A registered seal is checked against the physical stamp and a seal certificate. Use this image on quotes, invoices and internal documents that accept a stamp image.
Can I upload a photo of my seal to copy it?
No. There is no upload, so the tool cannot be used to imitate someone else's seal. It only draws new seals from the text you type.
Can I use the image commercially?
Yes. Every font used is under the SIL Open Font License, and the image you save is yours to use.
